More cosplayers this time round. First prize was a Nintendo Wii but why why why did only 8 cosplayers join? There should’ve been MORE!
Some of my own observations and critiques:
1. Stage. The stage was too small and located in a corner. I’ve noticed this problem with a lot of anime/game related events i have attended. The stages are too small and there are too little seats. At the most, you get 40-60 seats and the remaining will have to stand which inconveniences the photographers and those who aren’t tall enough to see form the back.
2. No photography area. CF suffers the same problem and it’s been repeated again in Taylor’s Anime Fest, Animax Youth Fest and ACGC. If you want to find a place to photograph without distracting backgrounds, you’re pretty much forced to go OUT of the venue. Which isn’t exactly what I would have in mind. Hell, you don’t need a dedicated space for photographers. A white sheet hung between two/three poles in one corner would suffice.
Overall:
Better than the first event at Times Square. A lot more emphasis on the doujin section. Lots more participation from local gaming companies and developers like Cubesoft, software distributors like New Era etc. Can’t believe that Dispatch of Army is still alive. O_o
Do note that the cosplay competition will take place tomorrow(Sunday) and as such, more photographs will be available tomorrow. If you want to take a look at the gaming section photographs, they will be available once i pass them to Chapree and he will put them up on Multiplay. Look at my article in Shrine here.

Took this with my 40-150mm lens. The bird next to the streetlamp makes for a nice size contrast.

Rain just ended so feeling kind of bored, i whipped out my trusty E-500 and snapped some shots from my indoor/open-air pond. Somehow, i couldn’t catch the bubbling surface of the pond clear enough, me thinks me skills need some polishing.

Not much post-processing aside from noise filtering. It’s hard to judge how a shot would turn out as it’s hard to check on a 2.5″ screen.

Switched to my kit lens for this one. 14-45mm Zuiko. A little processing with 10% and 20% blurring on the foreground(rim of pot) and background of image.

Laid on the floor, pointed the camera at the glass screen and focused on the raindrops. Made a mistake as i should’ve done it vertically instead of horizontally. As you can see, the focusing area is horizontal, which should’ve been vertical to give a sense of distance and depth.

I haven’t exactly been updating on my photography lately. So here’s some shots from what i took over the past month or so.
