Several events of interest that i would like to go to or participate in for the next 3-4months.

JRock no Tamashii 2009
Date : 21.03.2009
Day & Time : Saturday 6pm
Venue : The Republic Bar, Sunway Pyramid

Pros: I should really get down to going to a live band performance. I could win a guitar worth RM2000!

Cons: It’s J-Rock aka emo and there’s a cover charge which is rather expensive for me.

C2AGE 2009

Date : 16th May 2009
Venue: HELP University College Main Block
Time : 11am – 6pm

Pros: It’s another ACG event! Should be interesting as i gave the last one a miss.

Cons: Will it be good? How interesting will it be? No idea.

AniMAC Bunkasai Night @ UCSI

Date : 5th march 2009
Venue: UCSI North Wing
Time : 1pm – till night

Pros: First time i would be attending a japanese cultural event

Cons: Again, no yardstick. And i don’t know if any of my other friends will be going.

ACGC 2009

Venue: Main Concourse, Tropicana City Mall(along LDP highway)
Date: 21st – 22nd March
Time: 11am – 9pm

Pros: Last year was good though they sidelined the cosplay/manga somewhat. They’ve made changes this year, so hopefully it’ll attract more people.

Cons: Too heavy on the Games and not enough on the Anime/Manga. Only 8 participants for the cosplay competition last year.

I will be joining the L4D competition. Hopefully, we’ll win something.

Sunway University-College: ANIMANGAKI 2009

Date : 27th & 28th JUNE 2009
Venue: 4TH FLOOR, MULTI PURPOSE HALL, SUNWAY UNIVERSITY COLLEGE
Time : 9.00am until 6.00pm

Bored, sleepy and nothing to do(only now). Want to blog but am unable to as i don’t know jack on what i should blog.

And if you’ve noticed the blog went down for a day, it’s because Linkin and i were censured by our host provider for using too much computer resources. Which they claim came from the Commentluv plugin. Now mine’s been running for a long while and there’s never been a problem before so i’m wondering what’s up. In any case, Commentluv is now removed(and i love that plugin to bits) pending further tests.

Just received all of my orders from Shashinki today.

1. Matin Camera Strap

-Because my old strap was giving me hideous neck pain. The Matin camera strap is padded so i’m hoping to lessen the effects somewhat. Or do away with the headache forever.

2. Lenspen

- Bought myself a lens cleaner. Something which i had been planning to do for a long time.



3. Lowepro Nova 3 AW camera bag

-Old bag was way big and heavy. Plus its like a one-strap design knapsack. I finally discovered how bad this was during AFA08 with everything hanging off one shoulder. Right now everything fits(except for my DIY bounce card) but no matter, it’s way lighter and easier to carry than my old bag.  The only downside is the room, there’s less than the old bag. But i’m not complaining.

And so went my CNY angpau money. ;_;

Just when i thought things couldn’t get anymore weaboo then this comes along.

I thought infatuation could only go so far. And i was obviously wrong. And time again has demonstrated the kind of weird shit that can be pulled, will be pulled, either out of or by Japan since 1952.

Tomorrow will be Valentine’s Day. How will you be spending it? Me? I’ll be washing my car, paying my bills, ironing my clothes and going out to dinner with a couple of friends. *Sigh* So much for Valentine’s Day.

Did my first cosplay photoshoot during the weekend for Soul Eater. Before that i also managed to attend the Macross Gathering to celebrate the launch of the SDF-1 but that’s a story for another time. Alternately, you may find out more about the gathering at Shrine.

Just updated my blog theme two days ago. Decided to try something new other than having a rotating blog header and the same blog theme which i’ve kept for quite awhile now. I’m still waiting for a certain blog theme to be updated by the author before i switch to that theme proper.

On another note, I’ve finished watching Kara no Kyoukai 5 and i must say, it’s good. Spetacular Touko “this-is-my-puppet” action coupled with awesome Shiki swordplay. Too bad about Enjou Tomoe. Araya Souren gets his arse kicked big time!

PS – I’ve never seen Shiki look so moe before. HNNGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

Now this wasn’t what i was expecting for Episode 17 of Gundam 00 Season 2. Not after the false death flag pre-eps 10 and on.
