I was supposed to meet Alicia today at Ikano to shoot birds(pun not intended). There is a small exhibition going on at the concourse area just one level above Uncle Lim’s showcasing birds and winged beasts from the KL Bird Park.

Unfortunately, i was unable to meet Alicia because she had something to do and would be late, so i went ahead and left after sticking around for less than an hour. Honestly, it was a waste of time as there were too many people crammed into one small location so i had very little opportunity to shoot.

So here’s some of the shots which i took in great difficulty.

Mostly parrots, though i did try to shoot the love birds, where the wire mesh screwed up my auto-focus and they were flying all over in the cage so it was also a waste of time.

With most of my college modules and classes officially over, it is now possible for me to concentrate on doing my hobby, photography. I’ve been planning to host and organize a couple of cosplay photoshoots but haven’t gotten around to actually organize one in proper due to my busy schedule. That’s changed now as i have spare time during the weekends.

So if you’re looking to have your own cosplay photoshoot session, do let me know via PM in Lowyat, Comic Fiesta or a comment in this post.

I will also be organizing photoshoots in conjunction with the MyChiaroscuro forumers, who also happen to be the Olympus-users forum in Malaysia.  One or two of them have put the question forth to me and since it’s my semester break, i’m more than willing to help out.

So take note! If you want your cosplay shoots or if you know anyone who wants to get their photographs done, let me know!

Further note, several events which i will be attending over the next several months. I regret giving C2AGE a miss as i had to attend my grandmother’s 90th birthday in Muar. Then again, what i heard about C2AGE wasn’t very encouraging but i hope they’ll do better next year.

4. It’s still exam week. In a way.

5. Satisfaction from everything but the exam week = PRICELESS

Just bought a new “old” 14-54mm f2.8-3.5 high-grade lens. Worth all the money poured into it and some. I had a first crack at the new lens just Sunday night during the Pizza Party hosted at MMU Cyberjaya by the EMiNA club.

Of which you will see below. I’m still figuring out and getting used to the shallower DOF on this new lens so if the shots do turn out blurred on one side but sharp on the other, it’s just me!

I attended Solomon’s birthday party at Yumekukan karaoke last weekend. And what a party it was! A total of 18 confirmed attendees were at the party and we had a blast singing our hearts out.
