You may have noticed that i have not made a post about Anime Fest Asia 2008 unlike Shin and Quazacolt and E-jump. This is because going in as a media rep, i didn’t want to compromise anything by doing a double entry in Shrine and my blog. Another reason is because i find it highly unwarranted to talk about it from one perspective in Shrine and then go onto rant and rave and RAGE about it in this blog.

I’m not going to sugar-coat my words but i do believe that while the inclusion of bloggers was a good idea, to draw people in to actually go and see AFA08, it backfired on itself on more than once occassion. Many tried to get in, hoping to get the interview session with May’n, some tried because they wanted to meet Kunio Okawara, Ichirou Mizuki, Koji Morimoto etc and then there’s the whole “media access” issue.

Take heed AFA08 organizers. You’ll have to tighten the rules on media access for bloggers for next year.Hell, even at the moment Shrine writes using a blog format but that should be changing in the near future if the sailing winds to the north prevail. Expect a revamped Shrine soon. And better coverage of local ACG events too.

And i promise to write better. Though i am still in favor of photo spamming.
