Featuring a different climax and conclusion to the original TV series and first movie, Lagann-hen is in my opinion an altogether more satisfying conclusion to an already very awesome anime series.

The ending is stretched with extra scenes. The final fight scene between the Lagann crew and the anti-Spirals is also stretched and changed, with longer fights featuring each crew member individually.
Points to note:
1. The individual fight scenes against the anti-Spiral.
2. The final scene where Simon and the anti-Spiral representative fight it out with fists rather than destroying the anti-Spiral home planet as compared to the TV series.
3. Nia’s own Lagann.
4. Yoko’s own Lagann has missile boobs!
