Lulz

Maria + Holic is one of the animes in my current watchlist for Winter 2008/2009. You’ll excuse the translator notes as he/she was doing it for the lulz, and even included a mention of *cough* Man-Faye.

Warning potential spoilers ahead, do not read if you don’t want it spoilered.

The story of Maria+Holic is about a girl called Kanako who transfers to the school where her parents first met. Where she then transfers in order to look for the love of her life like mum and dad. Only catch is, Kanako is a lesbian/yuri. Which complicates matters when she meets the grand-daughter of the ex-chairman of the school, Maria. Only catch is, Kanako falls in love but Maria is actually a sadistic guy.

In the beginning she meets Maria’s maid, Matsurika who starts off on the wrong foot calling her piggy girl. Long story short, we enter Kanako’s inner mind theatre and get a blast of why she shouldn’t be called a piggy girl. The episode then proceeds to where she is introduced to the dorm manager called,  ”dorms leading teacher” who just happens to have nekomimi ears without the tail and a dog called Yonakuni.

Further on, Kanako discovers that Maria is actually a guy for real. Translator’s note beware! Maria then does some clever manipulation and gets Kanako to give in about his status as a fake “girl”. At the end, Kanako is put under 24 hour surveillance to make sure she doesn’t spill the beans and though you may not see it, it is expected that Maria is now living with her in the dorms.

How does one confirm a lesbian? By ripping the bra off the maid and showing it to the suspected said lesbian.
