My IBM training will be over tomorrow, and hopefully i’ll be able to roll-out some updates then.

Quick run-up of the week:

1. I haven’t touched any games in almost two weeks!!
2. Just watched Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen on Tuesday(TENGGEN TOPPA GURREN OPTIMUS IS FUCKAWESOME!!!!!!)

Several events of interest that i would like to go to or participate in for the next 3-4months.

JRock no Tamashii 2009
Date : 21.03.2009
Day & Time : Saturday 6pm
Venue : The Republic Bar, Sunway Pyramid

Pros: I should really get down to going to a live band performance. I could win a guitar worth RM2000!

Cons: It’s J-Rock aka emo and there’s a cover charge which is rather expensive for me.

C2AGE 2009

Date : 16th May 2009
Venue: HELP University College Main Block
Time : 11am – 6pm

Pros: It’s another ACG event! Should be interesting as i gave the last one a miss.

Cons: Will it be good? How interesting will it be? No idea.

AniMAC Bunkasai Night @ UCSI

Date : 5th march 2009
Venue: UCSI North Wing
Time : 1pm – till night

Pros: First time i would be attending a japanese cultural event

Cons: Again, no yardstick. And i don’t know if any of my other friends will be going.

ACGC 2009

Venue: Main Concourse, Tropicana City Mall(along LDP highway)
Date: 21st – 22nd March
Time: 11am – 9pm

Pros: Last year was good though they sidelined the cosplay/manga somewhat. They’ve made changes this year, so hopefully it’ll attract more people.

Cons: Too heavy on the Games and not enough on the Anime/Manga. Only 8 participants for the cosplay competition last year.

I will be joining the L4D competition. Hopefully, we’ll win something.

Sunway University-College: ANIMANGAKI 2009

Date : 27th & 28th JUNE 2009
Venue: 4TH FLOOR, MULTI PURPOSE HALL, SUNWAY UNIVERSITY COLLEGE
Time : 9.00am until 6.00pm

Attended the launch of the Red Alert 3 game yesterday. 7 years since the last Red Alert and the defeat of the Soviets in Red Alert 2 and Yuri in Red Alert 2: Yuri’s Revenge. 7 years later, EA makes a return to the franchise. Only this time, there another power that’s come to the forefront.

I attended Day 3 of the Malaysian leg of the World Cyber Games. Plenty of upsets as the defending champions were all knocked out with the exception of johnrambo for Warcraft 3. Paul Yan did not make it to champion. Forza also did not make it for NFS and we have M1Heaven after a tense match.

LZ.V2 also upset last year’s champions, Team Hybrid.

Congratulations to all champions who will represent Malaysia in Germany. We may have gotten a silver in badminton for the Olympics but let us do better in WCG!!!
