Also from K-ON, I’m happy to present Mio Akiyama! This were also taken during the lunch-turned-impromptu-photoshoot. Due to worries from the cosplayer, i will not be publishing her name and i’ve only selected six to appear on this blog.
Next photoshoot addition will be Demonbane from Day Two.
This was taken during Day One at Daicon 2009. A break for meal turned into an impromptu photoshoot.
First up is Yui, cosplayed by Ryukku.
The remainder of the photoshoot will be uploaded once i get permission of the respective cosplayers.
An excerpt from my yet-to-be-posted Shrine report for the Second Day of Daicon…
If you haven’t already read it in the forums, one of our very own forumers had the chance to do something rather outrageous at the end of the concert. He stole the bottle of water from which Minori had drank from during the course of the concert. As reports from the IRC channel show, he then proceeded to DRINK from the said bottle, if as if Jesus had given his blood to the people. However, as fanatical as it may seem, water does have to go OUT of the human body and I believe he just spoilt a really good chance to sell a bottle of water that was drunk by Minorin.
However so, he did gain an indirect kiss(if you really believe that, more likely he’s high because of ingesting Minorin’s saliva particles via his ingesting receptacle) from Minorin. I for one, found it absolutely creepy. Not much else to say about that. As Anime Shrine is already well-known(in a notorious way) of the ‘ Shinjuku Hirano Stalking Incident’ it’s no small wonder that this could’ve… and DID happen. What a way to add more notoriety to an already tarnished image.
Below is a quote i’ve taken from TJ Han of Riuva, whom i had the pleasure of meeting while waiting to be seated during the Q & A session on Day One. The interesting parts are bolded.
We have a guy, who’s even a blogger of some reputation, sneaking up on stage and swiping the Evian mineral water bottle that CM ingested water from, and running off with it gleefully. It might have been less creepy if he had just kept it, but he proceeded to drink the water, take photos of himself with the straw in his mouth and post the pictures online showing off his brave deed. Where the fuck is your dignity and pride as a human being? I shan’t flame because the moe-otakus like Bjorn have already done so on his blog, but this behaviour is like that of a retarded Johnny boyband fangirl deranged from fantasies. Then again otaku are basically man girls, but that doesn’t excuse it. The sad thing is, the vast majority of people on Malaysian forums and his own blog are praising him for his bravery and ‘epic win’, so he’ll probably not realise what he did wrong and continue to bask in the self-delusional glory of having had an indirect Minorin DNA absorption. Why would one do things that would make his idol disgusted and repulsed if she found out about it? This is part 1 on why Malaysian anime fans need to weed out their black sheep, hopefully via large dildos.
Right… that said… someone just put his dignity and reputation in jeopardy. Having known who it was all the while makes it much more creepier.
Aptly coined by a Daicon attendee, it came as a surprise as one enters the hall on Saturday(Day One) of Daicon only to see the stage area blocked off by ugly 6 feet high partitions. I could not believe reports from fellow Anime Shriners’ the night before that the partitions had been erected and I could only stare in disbelief when I entered the hall on Saturday.
Small preview as in Shrine. More to come soon!
Kind of went into a funk at the Q&A with Chihara Minorin. Lol!
